I know first hand how stressful the planning of such a momentous and life changing event can be... Over the last seven years I have had the pleasure of working with clients and coordinators all over the world, as a local and destination wedding photographer, so I fully understand the time, effort, and financial obligations that go into producing an event that your family and friends will cherish for years to come! And because of this, it is my goal to make your job a tiny bit easier by providing your family with amazing images that reflect all of that hard work!
My approach to Bar and Bat Mitzvah photography is very similar to my process with weddings... I like to do a combination of both classic and editorial style portraits, mixed with plenty of documentary style candids to really capture the emotion and FUN of the day!

Here is where we will create some gorgeous images to use as a part of your invitations, venue decor, or just to grab some formal family portraits for your friends and family to "ooh and aww" over. You'll receive 50+ high-resolution, fully edited photographs from this session.

The decision to purchase products is handled after your child's special day, and it's 100% optional, but you can certainly add an album now. I want you seeing your photographs before you commit to making a decision to purchase a certain number of prints and wall art. It's an investment, and it's one I want you feeling 110% excited about.

Common FAQs
Q: How long have you been a photographer?
A: I have been photographing AMAZING weddings and events full time for just over seven years now... prior to this I was in the mortgage industry for 22 years, as well as being a full time mama to my three amazing boys!
Q: How many events have you photographed?
A: I've photographed over 150 weddings and special events as the lead photographer, and I've had over 250 portrait sessions. And since there's only 52 weekends in a year, my weekends have been basically filled with beautiful stories and late-night celebrations ever since I became a photographer 7+ years ago!
Q: Do I need a second photographer?
A: Honestly, yes... which is why it is automatically included in our coverage pricing. I chose to transition into photography after many long years in the ever competitive mortgage business because I was looking for more. More meaning, more joy, and more passion. And the reality is that having a second shooter is not only a huge benefit to you, as you will have TWO photographers able to capture every angle, every emotion, and every RAD dance move... but it is also a benefit to me, and ultimately insures that I am able to give 1000% to my families during their event! I have quite a bit of energy and can most definitely capture an event solo, however I find that when a 2nd shooter is present it allows myself, and my families to feel more relaxed, less rushed, and more present, to insure that you receive the beautiful images you deserve!
Q: Do I need a pre-mitzvah session?
A: That totally depends on your needs. You can use the photos for your save-the-dates, invitations, venue decor, guest books, framed prints for your guest table, bar, and your house... and of course Facebook & Instagram! Plus, it's a way for you to get a little practice in front of the camera before your child's big day and it gives us an opportunity to get to know each other. :) Personally, I love them and feel like it gives your child an opportunity to get a little crazy and have some fun with all of the stress they are feeling prior to the big day, but ultimately it is all about you and your family's wants and needs!! They are TOTALLY optional!
Q: What kind of equipment do you use?
A: This might start getting a bit technical, but I personally use a Canon Mark ii R6 and a Canon R6 Mirrorless camera with both zoom and prime lenses. Both are literally on me at all times throughout your event, so I never have to worry about changing lenses, switching memory cards, or changing batteries. Every moment matters - and this is where the 7+ years of experience really kicks in.
Q: Do you offer any albums, prints, canvases, guest books, etc?
A: Totally! But I want you feeling 1,000% comfortable and excited about the quality of your photographs before placing orders on those. That way, you only order exactly what you want, when you want, and when you know with confidence that they are going to look amazing on your walls and in your fine art heirloom albums.
Q: Do you offer payment plans?
A: Yes, I do! Traditional payments are 50% due at the time of booking (within a week) and the final 50% is due 30 days prior to your event. But, if you wanted to do the payment plan, I can stretch it into equal 1/3's or 1/4's if that works best for you. Just let me know what you prefer, and I will make it happen. It's that easy.
Q: what happens if you aren't able to make it to our big day?
In the EXTREMELY unlikely event that I am too ill, injured, or there's some other emergency, I have a list of colleagues that we can call on to replace me that have similar shooting styles. That said, in the 7+ years I've been doing this full-time, I have never had this happen. You're in good hands. I promise. And if it were to happen, I would have an associate come and shoot the event, and then I would personally edit the final gallery myself prior to delivery.
Q: How do I book you for our mitzvah?
A: I Love that question the most! To book me for your special day, simply let me know what you want included in your custom collection: 1) Number of hours of coverage, 2) Pre-Mitzvah session (optional)... etc. Once I have your contact information and the answers to these questions I will email you a digital contract to sign online, and once I receive your retainer/deposit, you will officially be put on the calendar!
